The Grand Piano Spa is GRAMMY® Winner and three time GRAMMY® Nominee Darlene Koldenhoven’s first Contemporary Instrumental, Neo-Classical, New Age, Solo Piano Album, born out of the isolation of the 2020 pandemic. The long separation from the camaraderie of fellow musicians and the live concert performances she is use to, yielded a two part solo piano epic with volume two, The Grand Piano Spa: Legacy is to be released later this year. Companion downloadable sheet music and songbook with music from each album will be available with each release, sold separately. This beautiful, emotive, New Age collection of 9 original solo pieces is crafted to highlight her mastery and heartfelt sensitivity of expression on the grand pianoforte. Whether improvised or composed, melodies and musicality abound in many modes within the warmth of a very calming spa-like atmosphere. There are 38 minutes of luxurious sound to soak in for the attentive listener or for background ambience while reading, dining, falling asleep, yoga, massage or taking pleasure in the simple things of life. The Grand Piano Spa reveals the piano side of this multi-talented American artist, usually known for her radiant, Grammy-winning voice you’ve heard in everything from Yanni, Live at the Acropolis to Sister Act; including her own multi-award-winning #1 chart-debuting albums: vocal based Color Me Home and Infinite Voice and piano with instrumentation Chromatones and Tranquil Times. Treat your musical self to a soothing time at The Grand Piano Spa.
