Dear Church Leaders,

If you are looking for a Soloist for Sunday Services or Special Event, I love singing for all things spiritual, no matter the congregation size and enjoy being a coordinated part of the service. If I don't already have something in my repertoire that fits with the message or theme, I've been known to write something for the occasion! I hope you will take a moment to review the enclosed materials in support of Singing at Services, a beautiful uplifting Concert or Mini-Concert and/or Wellness with Sound Workshop event. My workshops include "Wellness with Sound and Voice," "Let Your Whole Voice Sing," and "Versatile Vocals for Choirs & Groups." I also have experience in "message & song" for services if pastor needs a sub, on the topic "Connecting Voice With Spirit." There’s more information at the links below or I’d be happy to speak with you about it. In 2018 became an official Climate Reality Leader with former Vice President Al Gore's Climate Reality Project. I would like the opportunity give a presentation to your congregation on climate and being good stewards to our planet such as the one I gave for East Bay Church of Religious Science in Oakland, CA in 2019. BACKGROUND

I live in the Studio City part of Los Angeles (from Chicago) and often travel to provide music for services at churches, and present workshops and positive music concerts worldwide. Some of the churches are at Unity Houston, Christ Church Unity Orlando, Unity Hawaii, Center for Spiritual Living Boise, Center for Spiritual Living Los Angeles, Unity Chicago, Vision San Diego, New Vision Spiritual Growth Center Phoenix, Spirit Space Saugatuck and more. As a guest speaker, I has given the message of "Connecting Voice with Spirit" at several churches and a special Mother's Day message and songs at Unity of Metairie, Louisiana. My CDs for your bookstore are available through DeVorss and New Leaf or direct with TimeArt® Recordings.

MUSIC

My repertoire includes everything from Positive Pop to New Age to Classical and one of my manifestations is an album I created specifically for spiritual audiences titled Inspired by a True Story (6/28/11). It opens up-tempo positive pop with "Kiss a Rainbow of Love" and the R&B influenced "The Who I am in Me" and gradually changes in mood and tempo from rejuvenation to relaxation. The final composition is an instrumental only, twelve-minute, meditation piece titled "Inspirial" that I wrote with the intention for use with low volume during a meditation or to deepen relaxation. "The Prayer" is also on this CD with the arrangement I did that became popular when I sang it on TV's The Young and the Restless a while back. "Kiss A Rainbow of Love," with my children's choir is also on the Giggle Box charity compilation CD along with other POSI artists, for children with cleft pallets. Then there are some wonderful instrumental pieces from my Tranquil Times CD that I play on piano. [more at Repertoire link & audio clips below]. My New Age vocal album comes with a coloring book titled Color Me Home, (4/21/17) and displays a beautifully humanitarian purpose for peace and planet. I've been honored to have received 20 wins and 35 nominations after debuting #1 on the worldwide New Age radio charts May 2018. The follow up, New Age Contemporary Instrumental album Chromatones, was inspired by the music of Color Me Home and has also won several awards. During the pandemic, I released two solo piano albums to bring peace and consolation during the isolation: The Grand Piano Spa and The Grand Piano Spa: Legacy. These debuted on the prestigious Billboard Classical Crossover Albums Chart at #4 & #8 respectively in 2021. My latest release 10/14/2022 is the award-winning Traveling the Blissful Highway, an instrumental New Age/Ambient/World influenced album complete with guided meditation track titled "Dot Calm" and "Cheerful Mohana" composed with an Indian raga or scale called mohana, played in the morning in India to relieve anxiety, depression, headaches and more.

WORKSHOPS

I also enjoy giving workshops on the power of music to rejuvenate. I am certified in NLP and in APP (audio-psycho-phonology) and use specially processed psycho-acoustic music, or sonic therapy. I was asked to speak and sing at the International APP Conference in Belgium 9/2015 & iLs in Denver 8/2008 and have spoken at the Global Sound Healing Conference, have published articles in numerous magazines on the subject of music and healing, and authored a music education book with 7 instructional CDs titled "Tune Your Voice: Singing and Your Mind's Musical Ear," ($49.95). It supports my workshops and is used as a stand alone as well. Choirs, Choir Directors, Speakers, and General Membership may find it an enjoyable way to open  and strengthen the voice while enhancing listening, vocal and musical skills. It is endorsed by faculty from the The Juilliard School, NYU, Berklee, to American Idol and the late Don Campbell of The Mozart Effect. There’s more info on that in the reference materials. Darlene recently has become a certified Climate Reality Project presenter and has informational presentations from 10 to 45 minutes, as trained in the three day event by former Vice President Al Gore in Los Angeles 2018.
