CASE STUDIES TESTIMONIALS

Below are links to various case studies and testimonials from a variety of Audio-Psycho-Phonology based centers worldwide.

The iLs System used in our center.

iLs is a multi-sensory program for improving brain function. iLs programs improve emotional regulation while training the brain to process sensory information. A variety of light physical activities are integrated while Listening takes place for about 15 - 20 minutes of the session. With improved regulation and processing, our ability to focus, think, and engage successfully in social situations also improves.

iLs has a global effect on the brain and central nervous system, influencing the following systems and their function: auditory, visual, vestibular (balance and coordination), motor, cognitive (thinking and reasoning)  and emotional.  As a result, it is successfully applied to a wide variety of conditions:

  • Learning - Building the skills which enable success in school: attentionreading, visual and auditory processing, memory, self-expression, social skills

  • Performance Optimization –  Improving processing speed and timing (athletics), creativity and imagination (arts and business),  self–esteem and self-confidence (personal development)

  • Neuro-Developmental, ASD – Achieving therapeutic goals related to emotional and behavioral regulationsensory processing, communication and social skills; examples: Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy

  • Psychological/Emotional – Improving attention, emotional balance and vitality

  • Rehabilitation – Recovering energy and skills related to language, movement and cognitive function (memory, organization, planning) after a stroke or head injury.

Feel free to contact us regarding the information on any of these links. The only company we are associated with is iLs. The other companies are also highly esteemed colleagues of the profession. LISTENING STUDY

Test/Evaluation Description

Your listening perception in both air and bone conduction will be tested much like a standard audio exam but with a few differences. A series of tones or long beeps are played through both air conduction and bone conduction headphones. Results are indicated on a graph, so you can see your listening curve or indication of the frequencies you are receiving and missing. Spacial Orientation, Laterality and Tonal Perception are part of the auditory processing evaluation. The whole process takes about a forty-five minutes to an hour including the evaluation. The evaluation will indicate your needs and help you to understand how you are listening, what it means for you, and how the program can help you. Most clients are fascinated by the process and outcome. Some people are just curious to see how they or their children are listening and may take up the program at a later date.

Out-of-town clients will be given detailed questionnaires to fill out for initial consultation in lieu of listening test. One 15 minute phone or Skype call for the complete consultation takes place after receipt of questionnaires.

Listening Test and Evaluation or Home Consultation: $150
